Best Creed Virgin Island Water Clones

Creed has a fantastic line of fragrances, and one of these amazing fragrances is called Creed Virgin Island Water. This fragrance has a lot of fans and a great scent. However, it does have a drawback, being the high price. This prevents many people from experiencing this amazing scent. Luckily, there are a few fragrances that come really close to Creed Virgin Island Water.

The Scent Of Creed Virgin Island Water

Creed Virgin Island Water is a very nice fragrance from the house of Creed. It is best known for its amazing scent, resembling a tropical environment. This scent is inspired by the oceanic trade routes in the Carribean. This is also found back in the scent, being a nice, fresh, yet sweet fragrance with a tropical tint.

The top notes of Creed Virgin Island Water are Sicilian white bergamot, Jamaican lime, and Sicilian mandarin. The middle notes are hibiscus, ylang ylang, and Indian jasmine. The base notes are tonkin musk and tropical wood.

In these notes, you can see where the tropical vibe is coming from. There are notes coming from all sorts of tropical places, like Jamaica and India. The notes used in this fragrance create a fresh, yet slightly sweet scent, reminiscent of coconut. This also adds up to the overall tropical scent.

Besides the sweet and fresh scent, you also get a slight boozy scent. Almost like a fresh mojito. This, again, adds up to the overall tropic vibe. Imagine a day on the beach, sipping on a fresh mojito. Just fantastic.

What Are Clones Of A Fragrance

Every fragrance has its own, unique scent. Some, however, have a scent that is very similar to that of another fragrance. This is not always the intention of a fragrance house, but other times, it is.

A clone is basically a fragrance with a similar scent to that of another fragrance. Usually, these fragrances are modeled after the more expensive and popular fragrances. A clone is in no way a replacement of another fragrance, it is more like an alternative.

For many people, these clones are great. They allow you to purchase the scent you’re looking for without having to pay a large sum of money to get the original fragrance. This allows people to test out the scent and see if they actually like it before committing to a full, original bottle.

1. Tommy Bahama Set Sail St. Barts For Men

You still get the same fresh, somewhat sweet vibe with a nice boozy touch.

2. Nautica Oceans

Scent and similarities: Nautica Oceans has a very nice, aquatic scent with an added saltiness and a floral touch. It is just a fantastic aquatic fragrance. It is missing the slight sweetness that you find in Creed Virgin Island Water, although there is an amber note in there, which does add a little warmth and sweetness. This time you get a slight woody scent in the dry down.

Notes: The top notes of Nautica Oceans are citrus notes. The middle notes are sea salt rose, lavender, and geranium. The base notes are amber crystals, teakwood, and marine notes.

Best for: Nautica Oceans is a fantastic warm weather fragrance with a very safe scent. You can wear this casually, as well as to work or school. It would also go great with trips to the beach. The aquatic scent just belongs in those types of situations. Besides being a very nice fragrance, it is also very affordable. You can check out the current price over here on Amazon!

Fragrances That Aren’t Necessarily Clones But Have A Similar Scent

Creed Virgin Island Water doesn’t have too many clones that are really similar. However, there are a few fragrances with a similar vibe and scent.

What we’re looking for in these fragrances is the same, tropical-like scent with the fresh attitude. Of course, Creed Virgin Island Water has this nice coconut-like scent in there as well, giving it a creamy sweetness. The fragrances below are both similar in vibe, but not so much in scent. Of course, they’re not too different, but not as similar as the ones listed above.

1. Calvin Klein CK One Summer

Scent and similarities:  Calvin Klein CK One Summer is a fantastic fragrance with a fresh, fruity scent. This can also be found in Creed Virgin Island Water. There is also a slight boozy tone in there, which is also somewhat similar to Creed Virgin Island Water. Although the notes would indicate that these fragrances are very, very similar, they’re not exact. They do have a very similar scent and vibe.

Notes: The top notes of Calvin Klein CK One Summer are grapefruit, lime, and melon. The middle notes are tequila, freesia, and cypress. The base notes are coconut, cedarwood, and sugar.

Best for: Calvin Klein CK One Summer is fantastic warm weather fragrance with a nice, tropical, fresh scent. Overall, this fragrance just screams beach. It works wonders when you’re going to somewhere with water during the summer. The fruity, mojito-like scent just works perfectly in those situations. If you’re interested in this fragrance, you can check it out over here on Amazon!

2. Michael Kors Island

Scent and similarities: Michael Kors Island is an aquatic, tropical fragrance. The scent is fantastic in capturing that tropical island vibe. This aquatic, fresh scent also has a nice floral touch, instead of the boozy touch in Creed Virgin Island Water. This makes it a little different, while still having this tropical island vibe with a fantastic scent.

Notes: The top notes of Michael Kors Island are parrot tulip, rice accord, and stephanotis. The middle notes are Bulgarian rose, Champaca flower, honeysuckle, and ginger lily. The base note is Galapagos driftwood.

Best for: Michael Kors Island is another great fragrance to wear in the summer. This fragrance is classed as feminine, so you might want to go with a different one on this list if you’re a man. However, this fragrance is a fantastic summertime fragrance, thanks to the fresh and aquatic scent. This fragrance is discontinued, however, making it a bit more expensive when you want to purchase it. You can check out the current price over here on Amazon!

You Can Also Purchase The Original Fragrance For A Cheaper Price

All of these clones are great, but they are not the original. They are more of an alternative to the original Creed Virgin Island Water. However, you can still get your hands on the original Creed Virgin Island Water without having to pay for a full bottle.

You can do this by purchasing decants of a fragrance. A decant is simply a small bottle that is filled up with the original fragrance. A decant seller purchases the largest bottle available. This way, he keeps his cost per ml as low as possible. He then divides this large bottle into multiple smaller bottles. Because the cost per ml is as low as it can get, the seller can also sell his decants for a low price.

Purchasing decant is the best way to purchase the more expensive fragrances without having to pay full retail. Decants usually come in multiple sizes, like 5ml, 10ml, or even 30ml. It is up to you how large of a bottle you want. But doing it this way does keep the price as low as possible while you’re still getting the original fragrance. You can read more about fragrance decants in this article I wrote over here!
