I’m Jasper Pieterse, the owner and founder of Fragrance Today. I’m a huge fragrance enthusiast and I’ve been that for almost 7 years now.

MY WORK STORY

When I was 15, I started working at a large supermarket. My job was to stock the shelves, nothing more, nothing less. Although this paid nicely, especially for my age, I knew I didn’t want to do this all my life. I knew I had more potential, and I knew my chance would come. 

At first, I thought this chance would be my college degree. I could go into the world and choose whatever career I’d like. However, after my first internship, I realized that this might not be the right path for me. So, I started to brainstorm. What other options do I have? 

A bunch of things came to mind, but the one that stuck the most was building my own online business. But there are many different online businesses you can start. By a stroke of luck, I came across a YouTube channel, called Income School. Along with this YouTube channel, Jim Harmer and Ricky Kessler had a website and an online course, detailing how you can start your own blog. This had my interest and I decided to give it a chance.

My passion for entrepreneurship skyrocketed from the moment I learned from these guys. But I also had another passion, fragrances. When I put both of those passions together, I created Fragrance Today, a website that aims to help as many people as possible with their fragrance choices and questions.

I absolutely love what I’m doing right now and I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep working with my passions. Every morning, I wake up with a great feeling, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

MY PERSONAL STORY

I was born in the Netherlands, in a loving family. Raised by two great parents, I had a great youth and two true role models to look up to. My father has always been an entrepreneur, so I always knew I wanted to follow in his footsteps. I’m a bit competitive like that, but I also just want to make them proud.

On my 13th birthday, I received my first ever fragrance. It was Calvin Klein IN2U, and I thought it was the best thing ever. Nowadays, I know many more and better fragrances, however, this one will always have a place in my heart. Ever since my 13th birthday, I started to take a liking to fragrances. I was young and didn’t have any money, so my mother was kind enough to purchase me one. It was another Calvin Klein Fragrance, this time, Calvin Klein Eternity. And just like that, my collection gradually started to grow.

Although my website is about fragrances, another true passion of mine is entrepreneurship. I can go days learning about starting businesses, expanding them, or whatever information is out there. I get most of my information from YouTube, but I also enjoy reading books. I’ve currently read multiple books about entrepreneurship and I have an ever-expanding list of books I still want to read.

I’m also an avid fan of going to the gym. I truly love working out and seeing results. To me, it’s a great place to not only work out, but also to learn. I learn how to push myself to the limits and do the very best I can. Most of the time, I also have an educative podcast in the background, so I improve myself while I work out.
